Met Gala 2025 featured star-studded red carpet arrivals, but Beyonce was nowhere to be seen. The singer most likely skipped the high-profile event in New York City because she is busy with her ongoing Cowboy Carter Tour. The pop icon may not have graced the Met steps on Monday, but she has been delivering iconic performances on stage as part of her tour. Beyonce’s absence from the Met Gala 2025 was also partly surprising because it’s been a long time since she appeared at the charity event.
Beyonce skips Met Gala 2025 amid Cowboy Carter tour
Although it would have been incredible to have Beyonce walk the Met Gala 2025 red carpet, the singer wasn’t a part of the A-list arrival. The Grammy winner sat out of the event amid her busy Cowboy Carter Tour schedule. It is possible that the star just couldn’t make the time in between her hectic practice sessions and rehearsals. The tour kicked off on April 28 in SoFi Stadium, California.
Fans eagerly await Beyonce’s Met Gala appearance every year, given that the singer is a true Met staple. She has delivered some showstopping looks during her previous red carpet appearances, including her last showcase in 2016. The theme that year was “Manus x Machina: Fashion in an Age of Technology.” It’s safe to say that the pop star was on theme in a pink latex gown. The outfit featured puffed sleeves and pearl embellishments, giving her the extra dazzle.
Beyonce’s first Met Gala appearance was in 2008, where she stunned in a simplistic strapless gown. From then on, the singer has only elevated her looks, making every red carpet moment memorable. Although Beyonce wasn’t on the Met Gala 2025 red carpet, fans have been thoroughly enjoying her Cowboy Carter Tour concerts. The star has been going all out to showcase extraordinary performances along with special surprises. Recently, she turned her performances into a family affair, bringing out her elder daughter, Blue Ivy, for a few dance routines, her mother Tina Knowles, and her younger daughter, Rumi, to join her on stage.
Beyonce still has two more shows in SoFi Stadium until May 9 before moving to other cities like Chicago, New Jersey, London, Paris, and more.
